ItalianoOn Sunday 29th September our translator Steve Davies successfully completed a gruelling fundraising event for the British Heart Foundation.
He and two good friends formed a threesome, the “Fat Cogs” team: together, they cycled from Bath to Bournemouth (128 km) in 6 hours and 26 minutes, attracting over 90 sponsors who donated a total of over £2000 to the BHF via the online charity donation platform JustGiving.
Online donation or personal fundraising platforms are websites that allow charities to raise funds and their supporters to make donations or create their own campaigns. Anyone, in fact, can, once they have registered, become a supporter of their chosen charity and make a donation or become a Personal Fundraiser, that is, take part in an event or challenge and involve their network of friends, relatives and colleagues in a personal fundraising campaign just as Steve and his friends have done.
